Starting in 1969, we began servicing Photogenic flash under warranty. At that time, service was poor locally and Photogenic was willing to give a new company a chance. We did not disappoint them and customer confidence was high. As time went on our reputation grew and we engaged all the major American flash manufacturers. We are currently repairing NORMAN, PHOTOGENIC, SPEEDOTRON, NOVATRON, DYNALITE and even old GRAFLEX flashes. Later, we added BEATTIE-COLEMAN, PHOTO-CONTROL/CAMERZ and HAWK school cameras. The digital revolution has eliminated these fine cameras and we are no longer repairing them. In recent years we have added ZEISS Fundus power supplies for the optical trade and OLSON high speed flash. We also have the ability to repair flashtubes when economically feasible.
About midway through our history we acquired a complete machine shop and have the ability to fabricate and modify brackets, stands and other photo-related equipment. Sometimes, only a custom part will do. We also can repair many types of equipment/transport cases.
Over the years we have invested in top-notch test equipment and tools to serve your needs. Fine names like Tektronix, Fluke, Hewlett-Packard, Sencore, Simpson, AMP and others fill our shop. Because our field is so specialized, we have designed and built much of our own test gear since it’s unavailable anywhere else. This allows a level of testing and analysis other shops only dream of. “Make do” is something we don’t do. We also have the ability to micro-braze by gas and with our specially built resistance brazing equipment in order to repair flashtubes.
Our many years in business have allowed us to accumulate a huge inventory of flash parts at over $300,000… probably the largest in the business. We have current parts as well as obsolete parts that flash manufacturers no longer carry. Many of these items are specially built just for us. Seldom do we have to order anything special. This means faster service for you.
Our goal is a repair that meets or exceeds original factory standards and lasts. Details are everything!
Next time your flash has a problem, give us a call… we’ll be glad to help.
